Time to smell the flowers!

Take the time to look around and see all the colourful flowers. White, purple, blues, yellow and all the colours of the rainbow.  Of course these days, the yellow dandelion is common in any lawn or field. What colours of flowers were hidden in the arena?  What was fun about going up into the loft today?

Using cardboard, a marker and a sharp tool to make holes in the cardboard, flowers were used to add colour to designs of lions, dinosaurs and flower pots. What colours of flowers did your child use for their design?

New to Stoneridge were the hens!  It was fun to see them up close. Did they lay any eggs today? What colour were the eggs? Did you know brown hens give us brown eggs?

In the forest, there were bugs, snails and a bird nest and even a frog. ‘Supermom’ was able to catch a hoppy green frog. Coyote shared a nest she had found earlier in spring. How many eggs were in that nest? Are you finding out what your child(grandchild) likes to do outdoors?

Stopping by the oak tree on our way out of the forest, we could see that it also had some flowers on it. Sometimes even a short amount of time outside brings the biggest rewards! Happy Trails!
